A Visit to NCCS was organized by Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy on occasion of National Science Day 2022.
The visit was very interesting and informative. We students got to learn many new things and apart from the theoretical knowledge of microbiology, we got practical knowledge as well.
The National Centre Microbial Resource [NCMR], is a national facility funded by the Department of Biotechnology [DBT], Government of India. NCMR is affiliated to National Centre for Cell Science, Pune, India and is an affiliate member of the World Federation for Culture Collections (WFCC) and is registered with the World Data Centre for Microorganisms (WDCM, registration number 930). The main objectives of NCMR are to act as a national depository, to supply authentic microbial cultures and to provide related services to the scientific community working in research institutions, universities and industries.
Dr . Avinash Sharma greeted and welcomed the entire team of DYPCOP to the NCMR lab. Dr. Amarja Joshi Madam explained us regarding the facility and brief us with the entire work done under the organization.
