At the outset, I, Jasmita Kaur, Dean – Placements, Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, Akurdi, Pune, extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Akurdi.
The Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of our institution, working diligently to bridge the gap between academics and industry expectations. Placement-related activities are organized throughout the year to ensure that students are well-prepared and confident as they approach the campus recruitment process.
From the first year itself, pharmacy students are encouraged to actively participate in various competitions such as debates, group discussions, PowerPoint presentations, elocutions, and more. These activities are aimed at enhancing their confidence as well as their reading, writing, and communication skills.
Our students are also trained in basic language skills through our well-equipped Language Laboratories. To further groom them for corporate readiness, we provide extensive training in communication skills, aptitude tests, and overall personality development. These training sessions offer valuable insights into cracking aptitude tests, excelling in group discussions, performing well in interviews, and preparing effective resumes.
We are proud to share that many reputed companies from across the country visit our campus regularly for recruitment. In our commitment to fairness and inclusive opportunity, we follow a "One Student, One Offer" policy—once a student secures a placement, they are not permitted to participate in subsequent recruitment drives.
In addition to placement preparation, the cell also focuses on creating awareness about higher education opportunities. We conduct regular expert talks and provide students with the necessary guidance and resources to understand the importance of exams such as GPAT.
