Welcome to Alumni Association of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Akurdi, Pune. It is a great privilege to be associated with such an elite organization that has a niche for ‘Excellence in Education’ through innovative programs and ethical values.
Alumni Association is the primary communication link between the college and our alumni. It is our goal to encourage and foster lifelong alumni involvement and commitment, by bridging the gap and thereby fabricating an unassailable ligature.
Over the next several months and years it will be our aim to nurture aerobicized bond with alumni; to execute such programs that match the interests and needs of the alumni; to maintain and build upon the positive relationships we have with our more veteran alumni; to increase the involvement and communication with our younger alumni.
Achieving these goals will require tremendous and painstaking team efforts, and it will be important to enlist the assistance of College, Students, and of course. The Alumni
Alumni are the real asset of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy with galore pass outs. As a token of love and gratitude, we give largesse during the alumni meets. Alumni give their valuable time for interaction to juniors providing help in curriculum and foresighted vision for the future endeavors. The co-ordination of all alumni is cared by a dedicated alumni cell. We always keep our alumni in momentum of college activities regardless; they are not in campus but should not feel away from their learning home. They add value to college being Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, outside reaching zeniths and bring glory to the institute which made them, who they are.

Objectives of Alumni association:
- To strengthen the professional networking among alumni and the current students of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Akurdi, Pune.
- To create a common platform for easy interaction and exchange of ideas.
- To guide and assist current students for either higher education or placement.
- To encourage the Alumni to take an active interest and participate in the work and progress of the Institute.
- To recognize outstanding social and community service by the Alumni and the students.
- To provide a forum for discussion of common-interest issues and current activities goings-on in pharmacy profession.

To bring a sturdy ligature and nurture bonds from the past, the college has set up an alumni committee headed by Dr. S. C. Daswadkar. The Alumni association aims at promoting and fostering interaction amongst the alumni, the faculty and the present students, and serves as a link between the alumni and the college. The alumni could play an important role in providing direction to students and also participate in the initiatives of the institute, through appropriate designed programs. It is an important initiative and aims at strengthening the connection between the alumni and the institute, disseminate information about the goings on at our college and alumni and providing latter with an opportunity to provide valuable feedback, and also deliberate in the roll and activities of association. It should be remembered that the alumni association draws its strength from the alumni and looks forward to their greater participation and continued support. It is my sincere hope that we are able to hold the convention periodically and strengthen the bond amongst the alumni and their Alma Mater.
Activities of Alumni Association:
- Alumni counsel current students on the topic/ areas of their expertise.
- Alumni and staff interactive sessions are organised during their visits to the institute.
- Alumni conduct sessions/ workshops prior to the conduct of their campus interview.
- Alumni plays crucial role in arranging industry visit for current students.
- Online communication is established between alumni, current students and staff for discussion on current academic sectors.
